Chief Nurse Executive - Inpatient Rehab

At Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation,our services have been designed for patients who need a longer rehabilitation hospitalization for their recovery   Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation provides advanced treatment and comprehensive care to best address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges for individuals with: Cancer Brain Injury Spinal Cord Injury Stroke Amputation Neurological Disorders Orthopedic Conditions Multiple Traumas    We are currently seeking a Chief Nurse Executive to join our executive leadership team and be responsible for establishing standards and policies for the Department of Nursing at our 4 campuses located in West Orange,Saddle Brook,Chester and Marlton, New Jersey The Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) participates in setting the vision and direction for Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, and participates in strategic planning, budgeting and staffing models for nursing. The CNE provides guidance, mentoring and support to the Directors of Nursing at the other campuses. The CNE is the designated Patient Safety Officer and oversees quality program outcomes and infection control functions. The CNE sits on the Executive board and is part of the Executive team.   Specific Duties:   Selects qualified candidates who fit the culture and have the most potential to contribute to accomplishment of established objectives. Provides regular and accurate performance feedback to direct reports with focus on results, skill expansion, process improvement and learning. Ensures success of department operations through building employee engagement, effective talent assessment, continual learning and development, cross-training and succession planning for all hospitals. Participates as a member of Senior Management in overseeing the operations of the Institute, planning both short and long term goals, establishing budgets and fiscal monitoring and assuring delivery of services in accordance with standards, regulatory and licensing agencies for all hospitals. Acts as the Patient Safety Officer for the organization and serves as chair of the Patient Safety Committee for all hospitals. Assures that standards of practice and clinical policies and procedures, scope of practice, job descriptions and orientation programs are responsive to patient needs and are compliant with regulatory standards established by the New Jersey Board of Nursing, New Jersey DOHSS, Joint Commission and CARF  Represents nursing at inter-disciplinary, inter-campus and medical staff committees speaking on behalf of the Department of Nursing in any related decision making. Collaborates with the Medical Directors to assure high quality patient outcomes and to identify any opportunities to improve clinical outcomes in the delivery of nursing and medical care. Works closely with the Director of Rehabilitation to assure that the delivery of care and services at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation Hospitals are coordinated and provide every opportunity to collaborate toward improved patient outcomes and the integration of the program model of care. Participates in bringing the practice of rehabilitation nursing to the larger nursing community through presentations, publications, outreach and participation on councils and committees in support of rehabilitation nursing. Minimum Education & Experience (Including Licenses) BSN required. MSN or equivalent Masters in Healthcarerequired. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. CRRNrequired when eligible. Minimum of five or more years progressive experience in senior nursing management role required.    Experience in medical rehabilitation preferred. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
