Landos Pet Care Landos Pet Care West Orange, NJ West Orange, NJ Part-time Part-time $18 - $23 an hour $18 - $23 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Duties - Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being - Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks - Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' needs and preferences - Monitor dogs' behavior and health during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner or supervisor - Clean up after dogs during walks, disposing of waste properly - Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and their pets Skills - Dog training experience, with knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques a plus - Understanding animal handling and understanding of dog behavior - Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is a plus - Previous experience in pet sitting or pet care services is beneficial - Strong animal restraint skills to ensure the safety of both the dog and the walker - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
