In this key role, the Pathology Assistant assists in the preparation and performance of surgical specimen dissection and gross description.
Support with fine needle aspirates and prepare smears for review by pathologists in the Radiology Department Assist Pathologists in the diagnosis of human disease Provide technical, administrative, and educational assistance to members of the lab and other departments Support Pathologists and Residents in performing post mortem examinations in hospital morgue Maintain morgue rooms and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Assist in the research goals and objectives of the Department Committed to continuous quality improvement, and excellent patient care Perform frozen section preparation to include rotation of off hours and weekend rotation Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.
e.
damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Requirements:
